Inauguration of the Seminar by Chief Guest & other guests.

As a part of our commitment to the growth, prosperity and the resurgence of the sector, Federation had organized a seminar titled “Supervisory Action Framework for Urban Co-operative Banks and Future Challenges before Urban Co-operative Banks” on 13th April, 2012. More than 200 delegates from Urban Co-operative Banks had attended the seminar.

The object of the Seminar was to assimilate the Directors about the latest trends in banking sector and recent views & policies of RBI.

The seminar was graced by Shri S. Karuppasamy, Executive Director of Reserve Bank of India, Smt. Kamala Rajan, CGM, MRO, RBI & its other officials Shri A. Udgata, CGM-incharge, Shri M. Nandkumar, GM, RBI

Through this seminar Federation succeeded in its efforts to vent grievances of UCBs before RBI authorities and RBI agreed to apply the circular on SAF w.e.f . 31/03/2012 instead of 31/03/2011. Besides RBI also increased the quantum of CD ratio by adding 75% of capital fund to deposits.

In collaboration with the State Government, the Maharashtra Urban Co-operative Banks’ Federation had organized a Seminar on ‘97th Constitutional Amendment and Proposed State Law’ on June 16, 2012 at ‘Bal Gandharva’ Theatre, in Pune.

The Seminar had been inaugurated by the Dy. Chief Minister Hon. Shri Ajit Pawar and was concluded by Chief Minister Hon. Shri Prithviraj Chavan. The seminar was graced by Hon. Shri Harshawardhan Patil, Minister for Co-operation, Maharashtra State; Hon. Prakash Solanki, State Minister for Revenue and Co-operation; Hon. Shri Eknath Khadase, Opposition Minister; Hon. Shri Rajgopal Devara, Secretary of Co-operation; Hon. Shri Madhukar Choudhary, Commissioner of Co-operation and other Ex Commissioners.

The Eminent Advocate Shri Ashutosh Kumbhakoni, Advocate Shri Shrikant Kanitkar and the Chairman of the Federation, Shri Vidyadhar Anaskar gave detailed informations on the titled subject of the seminar. More than 1000 delegates had attended the seminar consisting Directors, CEOs from Urban Co-operative Banks, Co-operative Credit Societies, District Central Co-operative Banks, State Co-operative Bank, Co-operative Training Institutions, Federations of other Co-operative Institutions.

A Book ‘Pravas 97th Ghatana Durusticha’ was released by Hon. Shri Ajitdada Pawar, Dy. Chief Minister, in the seminar.
