  1. Training Programme held on April 23, 2024 and April 24, 2024 for Special Recovery Officers:    

          



 

Recovery Management is an important backbone of the banking sector.  Loan Recovery is an essential factor to enhance the banking business and also to empower the banks. It has become therefore imperative to provide training related to the actual work/functions of recovery to the Special Recovery Officers. Federation had therefore organized 2 days training programme for the special recovery officers of UCBs in the State of Maharashtra on April 23, 2024 and April 24, 2024 at the office of the Federation.

The following faculty imparted training on different subjects:

  • Shri Madhav Prabhune, Banking Expert imparted training on Difference between Sec. 101 and 91 of the MCS Act, 1960, Important provisions of Sec. 49, 101 and 98 of the MCS Act, 1960, Procedure for registration of charge in CERSAI with specimen copy thereof, Important provisions of Sec. 138 to 148 of N.I. Act 1881 for dischonoured of cheques and appeals thereunder etc.
    1. Training Programme held on April 25, 2024 on SARFAESI Act, 2002:





The object of the training programme was to bring awareness about latest changes in the laws pertaining to recoveries, sharpen skills for actions to be taken under SARFAESI Act, to motivate the recovery officials to initiate the actions fearlessly with ultimate aim of recovery of banks’ dues as early as possible, to protect the officials and the bank in the long run even if fight goes up to Supreme Court with practical tips, etc.

 

The following faculty imparted training on different subjects:

  • Shri Mohan Kininge, DGM (Retd.), State Bank of India, imparted training on Various important provisions of SARFAESI ACT 2002, Step by step  practical action points for Authorised Officers on each sec.,  sub–sec. & rules under the Act with practical tips, Servicing notice u/s. 13(2), Reply to borrower’s objections u/s. 13(3), Practical problems, Do’s and Don’ts for SARFAESI, How to use amended section 143a & 148 of N.I. Act  for recovery? etc.
  1. Training Programme held on May 18, 2024 on KYC and Anti-Money Laundering:



                    

                                

            

     

The object of the training programs was to educate our member banks on KYC updation, recognition of suspicious transactions, login related issues, access to FINnet Gateway and uploading the reports on it and most important to save banks from violations of guidelines/ directives issued by the RBI and FIU-IND.

The following faculties imparted training on KYC and Anti-Money Laundering:

  • Shri Ankush Dhiman, Manager and Miss Tanya Joshi, Manager, RBI imparted training on Importance and Elements of KYC/AML and Role of UCBs, Master Direction on KYC: Important Provisions and Amendments, Major Supervisory Expectations and Observations from recent RBI Inspections (KYC AML) etc.
  • Ms. Amita Aajgaonkar, Ex Sr. Vice-President, RBL Bank imparted training on Reportings to FIU–IND, Obligation of the Banks as Reportees, Identification of Beneficial Ownership, Identification and Monitoring of Suspicious Transactions, Red Flag Alerts, Enhanced Due Diligence, Risk Categorization, Terrorist Financing, Sanction Screening etc.
  1. Training Programme held on June 28, 2024 and June 29, 2024 on Credit Management:      



The objective of the programme was to create awareness about financial statement analysis and decision making process, different types of loans and credit risks involved in different loans, motivating employees, ensuring more accountability and consistent practices, improving customer relations etc.

We have therefore organized 2 days training programme for CEOs, General Managers, Chief Managers and Heads of the Credit Department of Urban Co-operative Banks in the State of Maharashtra on June 28, 2024 and June 29, 2024 at the office of the Federation.

The following faculties imparted training on different subjects on Credit Management:

  • Shri Sadanand Nayak, Banking Expert, imparted training programme on Principles and Methods of Lending, Credit Appraisal and Calculation of DSCR, End use of Funds and Credit Monitoring,  Restructuring of Loans, Credit Risk in Retail Loans, Commercial Loans, Unsecured Loans, Gold Loan, Credit Risk in Project Finance, Corporate Loans, Real Estate and CRE Loans, Credit Portfolio Risk, etc.
  • Shri Vishram Dixit, Chief Executive Officer, The Nashik Merchants Co-op. Bank Ltd., Nashik imparted training on Effective understanding of Financial Statements and their interpretation, Fixing Exposure Limits, Ratio Analysis with Exercise, Concept of Working Capital and Working Capital Assessment, Calculation of Drawing Power, Stock Audit Tool, Monitoring Mechanism, etc.
  1. Training Programme held on August 17, 2024 on NPA Management:



          

           

The object of the training programme was to sensitize our member banks on adherence to extant instructions issued by the RBI on IRAC norms, Strengthening credit appraisal practices, Early detection of bad loans and NPA management.

The following faculties imparted training on different subjects on NPA Management:

  • Shri Sanjay Kumar, General Manager, Department of Supervision, RBI, imparted training programme on Regulatory aspects of Income Recognition and Assets Classification, Provisioning Norms, Categorization of Special Mention Accounts, Controlling Special Mention Accounts, etc.
  • Shri Vishram Dixit, Chief Executive Officer, The Nashik Merchants Co-op. Bank Ltd., Nashik,, imparted training on Post Sanction follow up and Monitoring, Non Legal Remedies: Reschedulement, Restructuring, Rephasement, OTS, Compromise Settlement, Write off, Concept of Due, Overdue, Legal Remedies: MCS Act 1960, Sec. 101, Rule 107, Sec. 49, Sec. 138, Sec. 100 (Rule 85), Important provisions of SARFAESI Act, etc.
